SABOTAGING DEFENCE PLANS.

RAISING DISCORDANT NOTES. WASHINGTON, April 7. Senator Lee asserted in the Senate to-day that American Quislings were going about the country telling people in so many words to sabotage the defence programme. “'Although our defence programme and aid to tiie nations fighting aggression have been stamped .with the approval of the American people, certain people are still stumping the country in an effort to destroy unity in America,” he said. “Hitler helpers and Hitler lovers arc not satisfied.” Without laming names, but- obviously referring to Senator Wheeler’s clique, he complained that they were using the radio to play oil every discordant Qote in America.
