SMASHING RAIDS ON RUHR.

GERMANS EVACUATE CHILDREN SLOVAKS MUST KEEP THEM. (United Press Association—Copyright.! (Rec. 11.55) LONDON, April 2. Smashing raids by the Royal Air Force has compelled the Germans to evacuate 35,000 children from the Ruhr.

The Czechoslovakian representatives in London learned that Berlin ordered tire Slovaks to accommodate the children in Bratislavia. The devastating effect of the raids on the Ruhr made feeding the children a grave problem. The Germans had already taken a great part of Slovakia’s foodstuffs.
