ALLENTON SCHOOL.
PROMISED WORK NOT DONE BOARD TO BE AGAIN APPROACHED As a number of promises of work at the school had not- been fulfilled, the Allenton School Committee decided last evening to write again to the Education Board and, if satisfaction was not obtained, to press 'the matter further. The chairman (Air E. O. Bathurst) presided and there wore also present : Messrs G- H. Rellinson, B. J. Evans, A. Argyle, J. Cowans, G. Knox, J. 11. Stevens -and the headmaster (Mr J. Southward).
It was decided to erect scats around trees.in the playground.
Permission was granted the Alienton Swimming Club to use the school for a donee.
If was agreed that the floors of the infant rooms be oiled ’ during the May holidays.
The headmaster .reported that at. March 28 there wf-re 111 hoys and 118 girls on: the roll. He reported on various aspects of school work and requirements at the school.
