QAMARU MEETING ABANDONED.

Owing to the sodden state of the course as the result of the rain the Oamaru Jockey Club was forced to abandon the second day of its meeting, which, was to hayo been held yesterday.

POVERTY BAY TURF CLUB. HIGH DELIGHT WINS MEMORIAL. TAURANGA, March 24. The second day of the Bay of Plenty Racing Club’s autumn meeting w r as held in showery weather. The track was heavy. The totalisator handled £22,782, compared with £20,679 for the second day last year.
