WOMEN’S DIVISION.

THE MAYFIELD MEETING, The monthly meeting of the Mayfield branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union was held yesterday afternoon, when the president (Mrs J. D. Murdoch) presided over a fair attendance. The motto for the day was, “Aim at Correctness in all Things,” and the roll call, “Sandwich Fillings,” was well responded to. It was decided to send a letter of cheer to Mrs J. Buiek, who is ill. Mrs R. Aschen gave a comprehensive report on the recent meeting of the executive. Competitions resulted:—Bloom, Mrs R. Oakley 1, Mrs J. D. Murdoch 2; heaviest marrow, Mrs J. D. Murdoch 1; runner beans, Mrs J. 1). Murdoch 1; bowl of mixed flowers, Mrs A. Murdoch 1, Mrs R. Oakley 2. Most points in the dahlia show were secured by Mrs J. D. Murdoch. The hostesses were Mesdames J. Ellery and A. Murdoch.
