The Taranaki Education Board diuv ins the last two months has made no fewer than 120 teaching appointments, permanent and relieving. This number represents one-third of the total number of teachers in the board’s employ. Last month no fewer than 44 relieving appointments were made. Tho main cause for so many relieving appointments is stated to be the tall made on teachers in connection with war service.
