DESTRUCTION BY BOMBS. LONDON, Januar ylO. Although the fir© bombs have destroyed Trinity House, the work of the Trinity Brethren goes on. The enemy have not been able to interrupt it for an hour. An official stated to-day that, though the Elder Brethren have lost priceless records, copies of charters and models in the wreck of their 142-year-old home on Tower Hill, most of the documents were connected with past activities only. Two valuable geographical globes, used for navigating 400 years ago, about the time when Henry VIII. granted the institution its charter “for the relief, increase and augmentation of the Shipping of this Realm of England,” have been destroyed anti most of the library lias gone. But some of the most valuable models of vessels, tenders and lightships have been saved. The old red brick house in the east wing still stands and is being used as temporary Headquarters.
