FIGURES FROM THE PROVINCES. I (United Press Association—Copyright.) LONDON, February 20. Asked in the House of Commons if he could state the number of recruits to the Indian Army who have volunteered from each province since the beginning of the war the Secretary of State fordndia (Mr L. C. M. S. Amery) gave the following figures up to the end of September: • North-West Province 5506, Punjab 48,136, United Provinces 12,227, Delhi 406, Madras 9898, Bombay 7666, Bihar 710, Central Province arid Bergat 899, Bengal 113, Cooch Behar 42, Assam 1, Baluchistan 8.
