PERSONAL.
Dr. N. E. H. Fulton and Mrs Fulton returned to Ashburton yesterday after three weeks’ holiday at Sumner. Mr J. H. Grigg left to-day for Burnham Military Camp, having been called up for nine weeks’ service. Mr G. Bruce, of the railway staff at Ashburton, lias been transferred' to Christchurch. Mr Bruce was presented with an electric water-jug from his fellow-employees. A motion of sympathy with the relatives of the late Mr James Bruce was carried at the meeting of the MidCanterbury Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union this afternoon. ,
