FIRE AT ALLENTON.
FARM BUILDINGS DESTROYED Fire' on the property of Mr J. A,rgyle, in F'nrm Bond, Allenton, destroyed a pigsty, chaff-house, stable and two dray sheds yesterday afternoon. The fire Was extinguished in about an hour and a half, the ' Ashburton County Council’s fire-fighting plant taking part. The fire, which was narrowly prevented from reaching a ear-shed! only a chain away from a house, is believed to have started from some smouldering rubbish;
