THE WEATHER.
HIGH TEMPERATURES AGAIN Heavy clouds banked up last evening and conditions early this morning were overcast, but the sun broke through strongly. At noon the weather was again warm and sunny, although there was a light cool breeze. The maximum temperature was well up yesterday, being 86.5 degrees. The record for the present season is 88. The minimum temperature during the night was 59.2 degrees. x The barometer stood at 30.01 inches tliis morning.
TO-DAY’S FORECAST.
(Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, This Day.
The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather;— General situation: The barometers are high over the Dominion, while a disturbance appears to be developing in the south Tasman Sea. The forecast for the east' coast of the Soutbrlsland from Blenheim to Oamaru is as follows•
Moderate northerly winds. Some morning fog or light drizzle on the coast, but weather otherwise fair to fine and warm. Seas slight.
