Lionel Barrymore, enacting the veteran Dr. Gillespie in the new “Dr. Kildare” picture, “Dr. Kildare’s Strange Case,” fourth ii* the popular medicaldetective series, was once one <#f the best boxers in the United States. Witness to this is “Elbows” MeFadden, once a great pugilist, who boxed with the actor some years ago. “Barrymore” he told members of the company during the making of the picture, “was the best boxer I ever saw outside of the ring.”
