WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.

GARDEN PARTY AT LYNDHURST.

The December meeting of the Lyndhurst Women’s Institute took the form of a garden party at the residence of Mrs A. Stewart. The president (Mrs Gilmour) extended a welcome to friends and visitors. Mrs Gilmour asked Mrs F. Henderson, whose home was recently destroyed by lire, to accept household gifts from the numbers and friends. Mrs Henderson expressed her thanks. Winners of competitions were:— Golf croquet: Mrs Macale. Skittles: Miss Ei. Gilmour. Guessing the parcels : Mrs F. Kcddiclilfe. Clock-croquet: Mrs Macale. A treasure hunt was also held. The hostesses were 'Mrs W. Drummond, Mrs Limbrick, Mrs McKendry, and Mrs McLauchlan.
