IN AID TO WEST OF BARDIA

(United Press Association—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, January 1.

A Royal Air Force Middle East communique states: “Enemy troops and motor transport and concentrations of military stores in and to the west of Bardia were heavily attacked by R.A.F. bombers yesterday. Several raids were made and on each occasion our bombs fell within the target area. Our fighters were active throughout the day, but no contact, was made with the enemy. One enemy aircraft was seen to be burning on the ground.”—British Official Wireless.
