The Government Meteorologist, at noon to-day, issued the following statement regarding the weather:— An anti-cyclone still covers New Zealand, but a depression of moderate intensity is approaching across the south Tasman Sea. The forecast for the east coast of the Soutirlsland from Blenheim to JJamaru is as follows: Moderate to strong northerly winds. Some rain in the ranges, otherwise fair and warm. Seas slight to moderate.
