THE PRIZEWINNERS Many attended the break-up ceremony of the Lvnd hurst School. The chairman of the committee (Mr'C. C. Winn) presided. Awards were:— l>ux of school: Yvonne Capon; runner-up, Ruth Leonard. Sewing (prizes given by Women’s Institute) — Primer classes: Daphne Heesby. Standard I: Margaret Chambers. Standard II: Shirley Pud denk Ia u. Standard III: Ngaire Kelly. Standard IV: Kathie (Body; special, M. Iveane. Standard V: Klma. Buick. Standard VI: Thelma Maidens. Cookery—(Ruth Leonard. Woodwork —iNix Buick.
An agricultural display was also held. Mr J. McAnulty judged the calves and Mr H. Reid the pet lambs. Awards were : Lambs —Class I: Edina Wright 1, Thelma Maidens 2. Class 2: John McQuilkin 1, Yvonne Capon 2. Calves —Class 1: 'Patty Keane 1, Klma Buick 2. Class 2: lan Man gin 1, Ngaire Kelly 2. Chickens —Heavy: June Marshall. Light: Joan Chambers.
