Ail Admiralty communique states: “In the early hours of this morning our motor torpedo boats, carrying out an offensive patrol off the coast of Belgium. attacked an armed enemy supply ship of (3000 tons. She was seen to break up and sink. She opened fire with machine-guns before she sank, hut this was ineffective.
An enemy escort ship, a vessel of the trawler type, was then _ engaged by machine-gun fire from our motor-boats and hit. A torpedo was fired at the enemy trawler and aii explosion was felt. She ceased firing. There were no .casualties or damage to our forces.—British Official Wireless.
