SETTLEMENT REACHED
HALTING OF BRAZILIAN SHIPS RIO DE JANEIRO, December 16. It is officially announced that threecases of British action against Brazilian* ships, -including the Itapc, have been settled satisfactorily.
It was reported that a British warship, later stated to be H.M.S. Carnarvon Castle, halted the Brazilian ship Itape oni December 1, and removed 22 German nationals. A few days later, a British vessel was reported to have halted the Brazilian steamer Parah.
