SYDNEY, December 17

It was announced in Sydney yesterday that M. Andre Brenac has been appointed personal representative in Australia of General de Gaulle’s Free French movement. M. Brenac, who lias resided in Australia for Id years, is editor of the French newspaper “Courier Australian.’’ The Minister for External Affairs (Sir Frederick Stewart), who made the announcement, expressed the hope that the French community would be stimulated.
