ASHBURTON STOCK SALE.

VALUES SHOW FAIR DROP.

SMALL YARDING OF FAT SHEEP. Values at the Ashburton stock sale to-day showed an appreciable fall from the start, and at mid-day the decline was considered to be up to four shillings on last week’s. The yarding of fat sheep was small and the quality on the whole poor. There Were only three pens of stores. The best price up till noon was 28s lOd for a line of two ewes offered on account of W. R. Ford (Longbeaeh). One fat wether was sold for 27s 9d. The main sales during the morning were:—

Fat Ewes—On accoiint of R; C. Carter (Newlands), (3 at 19s 7d; Derrylin Estate (Peridarves), 11 at 19s 7d to 23s lOd; A. J. Doak (Wakanui), 4 at 26s 4d; A. P. Ford (Longbeaeh), 2 at 28s lOd, 4 at 24s 4d, 1 at 16s 6d, 6at 22s Id; clients, 6 at 20s 4d, 6 at 18s lOd, 29 at 23s lOd, 35 at 17s lOd to 22s Id, 4 at 13s lOd, 7 at 19s Id, 4 at 16s 7d, 28 at 23s lOd, 4 at 23s 4d, 6 at 15s lOd, 7 at lßs 4a, 6 at 20s Id, 6 at 15s lOd, 4 at 15s 7d, 6 at 20s Id, 6 at 15s lOd. Fat Wethers—On account of A. J. Doak (Wakanui), 3 at 22s 7d, 4 at 25s lOd, 3 at 26s Id; J.
