Soviet dental clinics are using a'solution of table salt to anaesthetise the drilling of teeth. The sponsor is Dr. Levin, of Odessa, who says that the solution, rubbed in *. cavities, dries up the fluids which , are conductors of pain to the nerves. The method is claimed to be 95 per cent successful. kb
