ACTION CONDEMNED.
LABOUR AND FEDERAL CABINET.
PARTY DELEGATES’ RESOLUTION.
(United Press Association,—Copyright.) (Received This Day, 12.0 p.m.) SYDNEY, This Day.
A conference of presidents and secretaries of branches of the official Labour Party unanimously condemned the Federal Parliamentary Labour Party’s decision to compromise with the Federal Government on the budget. This decision is (regarded as a vote of censure on the leader (Mr J. Curtin). “The action of the caucus has given the Menzies Government another lease of life and will enable it to continue its vicious attacks on the standard of living of the people of this country,” read the resolution, carried by delegates. A report from Canberra states that Mr Curtin definitely pronounced himself against National Government. Ho said that if a National Government were formed there would be less real national unity although Parliamentary unity might appear greater.
