It is preposterous to think that the worst is over. The Germans are ■ certain to attack us most violently from the air after the winter with all the forces they can possibly ■ muster/’ said the Minister for -Aircraft Construction (Lord Beaverbrook), in a speech. • “The greatest number of planes that can be produced in Britain will be rolled out from the factories between now and March. The, public will presently be lulled into a sense of security, hut I am convinced that a formidable attack is coming.”
