NAZI “REPRISAL”

A RELUCTANT MEASURE.
INHUMAN TREATMENT ALLEGED.

The Germans in Holland have imprisoned at least 600 Dutchmen, stating that they have been reluctantly forced to take this step as a reprisal “for inhuman treatment of Germans interned in the Dutch East Indies.”
This was announced by an official of Dutch circles in London, who stated that the prisoners include seven generals, 19 professors, 73 teachers, 10 Parliamentarians, seven journalists and six police commissioners.
