PERSONAL.
Motions of sympathy with relatives of the late Dr. G. I. Miller were carried at a meeting of the Ashburton Plunket Society yesterday afternoon and the Home Nursing Division of the St, John Ambulance.
The Rev. O. G. Flood, of the Moorehouse Avenue Church of Christ, Christchurch, will preach in Ashburton to-morrow, and Pastor A. D l . Lowe, of Ashburton, will take' the services at Moorehouse Avenue.
Mr C. Chapman, who lias been proprietor of Buxton and Thomas, Ltd., and who will be joining the Army shortly, was presented! with a wallet this morning by Mi\ E. Harwood on behalf of the staff of the firm.
The Rev. <D. D. MacLachlan, of Tinwald, will conduct the morning service at the Baring Square Methodist Church and the afternoon service at the Methyien Methodist Church to-mor-row. The Rev. A. Moßean will preach at the anniversary services at the Presbyterian Central Hall, Tinwald, and the Flemington Presbyterian Church.
