Announcing the Joss of four trawlers and -one drifter, an Admiralty communique adds: “Communiques issued by the .German High Command lay continued stress upoh the mining of British ports. These ports and their approaches are kept clear of mines day to clay by the tenacity, courage and devotion of our minesweeping forces. The enemy is using all manner of devices to prevent and hinder the sweeping of those mines. Although the success of these devices has been limited and is likely to decrease, they have imposed losses on our minesweeping forces.”—British Official Wireless.
