JUDGE AT FORBURY PARK DECISION OF COMMITTEE DUNEDIN, December 5.. The action of the judge at the recent meeting, Mr A. O. Wellwood, in declining to act without an assistant -was discussed at a meeting of the committee of the For bury Park Trotting Club this evening. The chairman said the position was governed by the rules, and no judge was entitled to havo an assistant. It was a breach of the rules. iMr J. Stevens was, appointed judge for the remainder of the season.

A complaint by the starter (Mr A. J. Hastings), that one of the stewards (Mr H. Halliday) had accused him of making a bad start in the last race was also considered. After a discussion, Mr Halliday apologised. >
