NEED IN BUILDING TRADE. (Per Press Association). AUCKLAND, December 5. A decision to make representations to the Government through the New Zealand Builders’ Federation, pointing out that an extension of working hours is necessary in view of the amount of urgent work for war purposes still to be completed, was reached at a special meeting of the Auckland Master Builders’ Association. The meeting was called to consider tho position that has arisen in the industry due to tho shortage of skilled and semi-skilled labour, and to consider proposals for securing the maximum results during this period of crisis from the labour available.
