INDUSTRIAL CENTRE RAIDED.

ANOTHER ATTACK ON POLITZ.

FIRES AND EXPLOSIONS

(Received This Day, 11.55 a.m.) LONDON, November 29

British bombers- again proved thenability to raid industrial-centres deep in Germany-. Last- night they renewed the attack ,on Pojitz, near Stettin, on the Baltic, which six weeks ago was the object of a heavy and remarkably successful raid. Bombs dropped by the first aircraft—which were making a round trip of 1300 miles—started immediate fires, followed by a brilliant explosion and a white flash among buildings. ; Other bombers .then weighed in, one observer reporting at least 12 big-fires.—British-Official Wireless. Another observer counted eight more fires as result of liis own bombing. The flames, enlivened by many lesser explosions, spread’ quickly along the debris. The shipbuilding yards at Stettin itself were also bombed. Since completion of the Berlin-Stettjn ship canal in 1914, Stettin has been Berlin’s outlet to the sea. t A side blow was given to the German Navy by the bombing, with consequent fires and explosions, of the Mannheim factory which turns out submarine engines. Another armament works at Dusseldorf was also attacked. Sidings and goods yards were bombed at Koblenz, Ludwigshaven and Neuff, near Dusseldork. Bridges and road and rain junctions- on both flanks of the Rhine were singled out. Earlier in the night another aircraft had ranged widely over enemy docks and shipping from Cuxhaven to Lo Havre. Fires broke out n Boulogne harbour and at Antwerp. One aircraft made no fewer than than, three preliminary runs in order to be certain of hitting the docks accurately. THE GERMAN VERSION.

(Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, November 29. A German communique says that several British planes dropped bombs in northern and western Germany. Some houses were damaged and a reserve military hospital was struck. ,
