SMALL FARMS BILL.

PROTEST AT PAHIATUA. (Per Press Association). PAHIATUA, November 25. ' A meeting of farmers in the. Pahiatua district was addressed on Friday night by Mr Lloyd Hammond, Mr O’Shea, and Sir Alfred Ransom. The following resolution was passed : “This representative meeting of farmers emphatically protests against the proposed amendment of the Small Farms Act as, if it becomes law, it permits confiscation of growers’ interests and the Bill is a gross invasion on the liberties of subjects.”
