ACCUSED REMANDED.
ALLEGED ATTEMPT TO MURDER. (Per Press Association). DUNEDIN, This Day. William Meehan, aged 42, w r as charged with, at Oamapru on October 13i, having attempted to murder Harry Frederick McAuley, and v r as remanded to appear at. Oamaru on December 10. The charge arises out of an, alleged shooting afray when a meeting commenced by Jehovah’s Witnesses was being conducted. It is alleged’ that one member of the sect v r as shot and another wounded by a bayonet.
