ACCELERATING ADJUSTMENTS. I- 1 AUSTRALIAN PROCEDURE. (Received This Day, 9.0 a.m.) CANBERRA, This Day. The Prime Minister (Mr R. G. Menzie.s) announced revolutionary changes in the Commonwealth arbitration procedure, aimed at rapid adjustment of industrial disputes which have lately been rather frequent, particularly on war orders. The Federal Minister of Labour (jMr Holt) has been empowered to intervene in all such cases and take immediate' action to place the issues hi .dispute before the Aribitration Court, also to empower Boards of Reference to intervene and effect peaceful settlements with the parties, in conjunction with the Registrar of the Arbitration Court.
