ARMY PAPER NAMES AUSTRALIA ' SHANGHAI, November 23. The Japanese army newspaper, “Sinshun Pao,” in a leading article on the scope of the German-Italian-Japanese Agreement, says that it envisages the stabilisation of Europe, Africa, the Far East, “and Australia.”

This is the first time that official organs of Japan in (China have openly included Australia by name within the framework of Japan’s southward expansion programme.
