Wanganui’s percentage of fit men drawn in tho recent Territorial ballots is believed to be the highest so far recorded in New . Zealand Figures made available to-day show that oi 0 26 men drawn in the first ballot, 411 passed as fit when medically examined, 169 were classified as temporarily unfit and 40 as' unfit. The proportion of fit men is more than 66 per cent, of the total examined. . So far 806 men drawn in the second ballot have been medically examined in Wanganui, and of thepe 010 have been passed as fit, 215 were classified a s temporarily unfit, and 76 as permanently unfit. The proportion of fit men, compared with (he total examined is 63 per cent.
