MURDER MYSTERY FOR EDDY.

Nelson Eddy’s fans would like to see him in a murder mystery film with a Hollywood background. Recently, more than a dozen letters have reached the singing star calling to his attention a current mystery novel’ “Stand-in for Death,” which they all insist must have been written with Eddy in mind as the principal character is a Hollywood star famous for his voice. Various incidents in the story, they claim, parallel Eddy’s own experiences. Eddy sees little prospect for any murder mystery role, hut is obtaining a copy of the hook to see if there is any resemblance -between himself and the male lead.
