FERRY STEAMER’S LONG TRIP. fPer Press Association*. CHRISTCHURCH, Day. Tho inter - island steamer Waliino, with 700 passengers, was two hours late this morning, owing to heavy weather on the coast. The only damage done was to a lifeboat, which swung out from the davits, but the size of the sea breaking aboard was such that one roller left small fish behind on the deck.
