SWIMMING.
THE ASHBURTON CLUB. At a meeting of t!& committee oi the Ashburton Amateur Swimming Club last evening it was decided to purchase a, new spring boardi- and to paint tiie high dive. Mr J. Smith was appointed caretaker.
The opening for the season was fixed for Saturday, November 23, and the opening carnival for Thursday. December 12, and another carnival for December 19.
