FIRES AND MANY EXPLOSIONS

(United Press Association—Copyrights (Received This Day, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, November 1. An attack on Naples last night was the first time the Royal Air Force have been in action over Southern Italy. Three targets were selected in the raids, which lasted threequarters of an hour. The first aircraft concentrated on an oil refinery and groups of storage tanks, where the dropping of heavy bombs was followed by fires and many explosions. The second was on a station and railway junction at Naples. During this raid aircraft Hew over the city less than 2000 feet up. In the third attack, anti-aircraft batteries , and searchlights were bombed, one battery being effectively silenced. British Official Wireless. The Italian communique says that British planes that bombed Naples caused jimited damage. One person was killed and five wounded. '
