NEW HEADMASTER.
CITY BOYS’ HIGH SCHOOL.

Mr A. E. Caddiek has been appointed headmaster of Christchurch Boys’ High School, succeeding Mr G. J. Lancaster, who will retire at the end of the year.
Mr Caddiek was educated at Mount Cook School, "Wellington, at Wellington College, and at Victoria University College. He took his Master of Arts degree at Victoria University College, with honours* in English and German. His teaching experience, which extends over about 35 years, began in 1906, when he was appointed to a position at the Clyde Quay School, Wellington. He was later on the staff of the Kilbirnie School and of the Newtown School. In 1912 he became a master at Wellington College,' and in 1927 was appointed senior English master at the Christchurch Boys High School. In 1936 he took charge as headmaster at Christchurch West High School.
