ATTACKS ON OTHER TOWNS.

LONDON, October 21

All Air Ministry communique states: The main attacks in the hours of darkness were directed against the London area and the Midlands.

Buildings in the London area, including many dwellings, were damaged and several fires were'started. Some persons were killed or injured. In attacks on the Midlands, principally in one town where houses, shops and commercial premises were damaged, a number of persons was killed or injured.

Three of our fighters were lost and one pilot is safe. Seven enemy planes were destroyed yesterday. A delayed action bomb which exploded to-day in outer London, demolished five houses which''were damaged by bombs earlier in the night.
