LIAISON OFFICER.
BRITISH GUEST CHILDREN.

Major Cyril Bavin, 0.8. E., has been appointed by the Children’s Overseas Reception Board, London, as liaison officer to the British Children’s Re coption Committee in New Zealand. - While carrying out this duty Major Bavin will be attached to the Staff of the High Commissioner for the United! Kingdom in New Zealand, and will work in close collaboration with the superintendent of child welfare. Major Bavin, who is (expected to arrive in New Zealand shortly, has been associated with the Y.M.C.A,. for many years and has had considerable experience in dealing with/ problems connected with the welfare of young people. Major Bavin is a New Zealander by birth, but went to England at an early age. He has visited Australia and Neiw Zealand on a number of occasions.
