SUDDEN DEATH.

RAILWAY-MAN AT DROMORE, Mr John Charles Blackburn, aged 55 years,, a railway surfaceman, of Dromorc, died suddenly at his home at 7.45 p.m. on Saturday. Mr Blackburn had been working all day, and after tea had gone out cutting gorse. He returned about 7;30 and was sitting in front of the lire when he died.

An inquest into the circumstances of his death was held at the Ashburton Public Hospital this afternoon.
