WOMEN’S INSTITUTE.
FLOWER SHOW AT WAKANUI. At the monthly meeting of the Wakanui Women’s Institute the annual flower show was held. The president (Mrs Dick) presided. Mrs G. Clark judged the flowers and also gave a very interesting garden talk. A small presentation was made to Miss Greaves, who is leaving the district.
It was decided to send a donation to the Makogai Lepers’ Christmas-Fund. Competitions resulted: Narcissi, Mrs W. Butterick 1, Mrs Dick 2. Long trumpet narcissi: Miss C. Frampton 1, Miss G.
