CANTERBURY BEATS WELLINGTON. CHRISTCHURCH, This Day. Canterbury beat Wellington, by 4 goals to 3 at English Park on Saturday afternoon. Play was not up to representative ,standard, there being too many' mistakes in positional play, passing aind shooting. Transfers were almost invariably lobbed and: with the strong wind blowing, quick ball control proved difficult. Both teams played better against the. wind, Wellington having a goal advantage at the interval. IN OTHER CENTRES. Auckland —Mt. Albert Grammar 0.8. won the Falcon Cup, defeating Thistle 4-1.
