GOOD TEMPLARS.
THE WAKANUI LODGE. Sister E l . Begg presided over an excellent attendance of members at the fortnightly meeting of" the Wakamii 1.0.G.T. Lodge in the Memorial Hall. A welcome was extended to Sister Dalton and Bro, 3>. Leslie. One candidate was initiated into tho Order.
In order to complete the celebration of the recent election of a “Mayor,” a mock mayoral banquet was held and was most successful. The toast list was as follows: —“The Loyal Toast,” “The Mayor and Mayoress,” proposed by B|ro. j. West and responded to by Bro. J. Sinclair; “Grand, Lodge,” proposed by Bro. E. West, responded to |>y 'Sister Begg- “Our Lodge,” proposed by Sister A. Bennington, responded to by Sister Blair ■ “The Sisters,” proposed by Bro. T. Bennett, replied to' by Sister (Peayee; “The Brothers,” proposed by Sister M. Wilson, replied to hv Bro. W. Begg; “New: Members,” proposed by Bro, F. Bonnington. replied to by Bro. H. Adams; “Unsuccessful Candidates,” proposed by Bro. J. Sinclair, replied to by Bro. E. West. Items were given by Bro. N. Butte rick and Sister Begg during the evening. The singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” brought a very pleasant evening to a close.
