THE RESERVE BANK. ASSETS AND LIABILITIES. (Per Press Association). WELLINGTON, September 26. The following is a statement of the assets and liabilities of the Reserve ißank of New Zealand as at the close of business on September 23: Liabilities—
Proportion of reserve to notes and other demand liabilities 31.651 per cent. Sterling exchange is expressed in New Zealand currency.

THE WOOL CLIP. LEVY EOR COMING SEASON. WELLINGTON, September 26. The rates of levy on all wool produced in New Zealand are announced in a Gazette notice to-night. They are
6d a; bale, 3d a fudge and Id a bag or sack. These rates will apply on all wool produced in New Zealand which, at any time during the season commencing on October 1 this year, is exported from the iDtominion or is delivered to a wool manufacturer for use in New Zealand.
