Air-Mail Services. Trans-Pacific air mail service: Next flight closes Wednesday, September 25; due San Francisco, Wednesday, October 2. Mails for the trans-Tasman weekly air service will close at the Ashburton Post Office, 2.45 p.m. Monday, September 23. Air mails within New Zealand close at the Ashburton Post Office: North bound—Monday to Friday inclusive, at 8 p.m.; South bound—Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 7 a.m. and Monday and Wednesday at 8 p.m.

Overseas Mails (Outward). Mails for Australia and countries via Australia will close at the Ashburton Post Office at 7 a.m., Wednesday, September 25. Mails for overseas will he closed alid forwarded as opportunity offers.
