Germans was responsible for the torpedoing of the steamer St. Agnes, 600 miles west of Lisbon on Saturday. The Exochorda rescued the cijsjy, 13 British officers and- 51 Indians, on whom the submarine fired 12 times after the crew had taken to the boats. There were no casualties.
