Mr A. A. Cooper (secretary of the New Zealand Mail Contractors’ Association) who will shortly go- into camp, was prestented with a pipe by the president (Mr W. McKie) at a supper partj in his honour. A motion of sympathy with Mr H. R. IX Porter (president of the Club) in the death of his father was carried in silence at a meeting of the committee of the Ashburton Bowling Club last evening. .
