Three hundred are known to ha\ r e been injured, Avhile many are missing, as the result of the explosion at the Hercules poAvdor works at- Kenvil (NeAV Jersey) The damage is estimated at 1,000,000 dollars. Presidpn/fc Roose/velt' has requested the Red Cross to assist in relief work. The injured include children at a school a mile distant. Aeroplanes Ucav to and fro, dropping fire-fighting chemicals. Rescuers dashed in and out of the flames doing their best to carry out those Avho> could be saA r od, and leaA r ing the obviously dead.
